About Us

Colourful Island is inspired by the natural beauty of my home, Prince Edward Island, and all of my handmade crafts are created using locally-sourced materials.

Creating is my passion. I love taking traditional crafts and turning them into modern items with a hint of humor! I also create using all colours of the rainbow to represent all walks of life and lifestyles. Most of my products are intentionally age and gender neutral as well.

Colorful Island’s product line includes the popular Fox Family collection. My originally Fox Family mittens were awarded the 2017 Best New Product at the PEI Crafts Council’s Buyers’ Market.

I am wholly committed to creating handmade and original patterns for my Colourful Island collections and equally committed to supporting local suppliers and businesses. I am proud to source high-quality wool from MacAusland’s Woolen Mills, the oldest woolen mill on PEI.
