Meet the Trainer

Tara Atkinson is a Professional Dog Trainer & Behaviour Modification Specialist, Personal Trainer, and owner of Thank Dog! Bootcamp Canada, Operating since May 2011, Tara began her career by flying to California to be mentored under the influences of Trainers Noelle Blessey & Jill Bowers of Thank Dog! Bootcamp, in L.A. Tara hit the ground running once she began Thank Dog! Bootcamp Canada, appearing on Breakfast Television, E Talk and various other shows within a short amount of time as interest in her program peaked.

Continuing her education, in 2014 Tara graduated from her studies of dog psychology to become a behavioural specialist, under the tutorial and guidance from John Van Olden & The Canine Trade Group in the USA. Tara uses her energy & in-depth capable perceptions to assess what is needed and use her skills to apply and teach the training methods by demonstration and coaching .

Rescuing animals plays an important role in Tara’s life, their mental well-being is always her utmost concern. She gets to fulfill her nurturing passion as an avid supporter and affiliate Dog Trainer for TEAM DOG RESCUE servicing Toronto & the G.T.A. When she’s not working you can find her in nature with her dogs Gibbs & Hero, paddling on the water, getting dirty in the garden or simply snuggling with her 2 cats binging on shows.
