About Us
Hi! My name is Orla Hares and I am registered physiotherapist and owner of Gaitway Neurophysio. I have over 17 years experience working with neurological conditions including but not limited to Parkinsons Disease (PD), Multiple Sclerosis (MS), stroke (CVA), complex fractures or medical conditions and senior health (balance, falls and walking issues).
I use up-to-date information to challenge your abilities and get the brain retraining you need. I show you what is possible and help you understand that almost anything is achievable with the right help!
I have a special interest in the management of neurological conditions and have undertaken extra training in Bobath certifications and Neurodevelopment Treatment (NDT) for stroke management. To start this company I have focused my attention on the management of PD and have undertaken training in lee Silverman Voice Therapy Training (LSVT BIG) and Parkinsons Wellness Recovery Moves (PWR!Moves). Check out my resources page to find out more. I keep up to date with all my research and adapt my approach as the need arises. If there is a new technique available to manage a condition, I will integrate it into therapy to give the greatest outcome. I am also Smovey trained which is the newest form of exercise and easily adaptable for all levels of mobility. Find out more about the Smovey vibroswing system here.
Gaitway Neurophysio is a fully mobile service. I am incredibly flexible with my timing and management of your condition, because life sometimes gets in the way. I work on your symptoms on a daily or weekly basis and adapt our sessions to reflect your ongoing symptoms. By working with you at home, I can focus on the most important issues and help overcome obstacles with strategies that will help. Struggling with getting in or out of the car? We can help. Struggling with getting in and out of the bath? We can help. Struggling with moving in a particularly tight space in your sitting room? We can help!
Contact Gaitway Neurophysio today for more information and let’s get you moving well again as soon as possible!
